Message from a REAL Conservative: "Treatise of the Unknown SIGINTer"

Hey all. It's been a while: I've been under the belly of the beast poking around and surveying how bad the mess is. Well, I've got good news: while our country appears to have been hijacked by the NeoCon disease, the body of our nation itself has largely resisted this disease (the common vector seems to be "bullshit"). Note: there's a HUGE difference between the traditional conservatives in this country and the NeoCon scumbags we see today. The REAL Conservatives believe in a limited government, a strong military, and adherence to the kinds of standards (like EXCELLENCE) and values (like HONESTY) that make our country great; the NeoCons claim to believe a lot of shit, but their actions reveal that they really believe only in making shit-tons of money at the expense of everyone and everything else.

They're the most incompetent turds I've ever had to endure in Washington, at least in my lifetime anyway, which hasn't been all that long. What's worse, they KNOW that we're pissed and are trying to rig the system to prevent their removal. However, they seem to have consistently made the same mistake: they persistently disrespect and underestimate the resolve and ingenuity of the American people... and we RUN this machine, not they! They may give the orders, but if we merely refused, had key strikes, whatever: they'd be as helpless as a driver with a fried engine. If they persist in pushing for a nuclear war, they might get to live that analogy for real: I'm certain that our ballistically armed enemies are well aware of the effects of EMP: A well-placed MIRV spread in our upper atmosphere would knock out all electronics and put us back in the 18th Century technologically. As it is, the likelihood of global nuclear war has risen in my estimation with the acquisition of our nuclear production facilities (enrichment and bomb-making, bomb triggers, ballistic missiles) by the Carlyle Group and the negotiations by our President with other nations (France, Poland, etc.) on their stance on a nuclear strike against "terrorist" targets. I'm not the only one who thinks this will happen: the Burmese moved their capital on two days notice to the bumfuck highlands of their country due to the risk of fallout during the monsoon season.

But, like I said, we still have heart in this country. The Neo-Cons are doing their best to stomp it out or herd it into the corral of religious fanaticism and ultra-nationalism, that we can be provoked into wanting to nuke back, invade, whatever. They will ALWAYS rely on a certain level of skill, however: those with specialized talents will be tolerated to a certain degree because there is no one to replace them in many cases... and despite the Grand Philosophy of Bullshit which dictates that what you put on TV or in the news BECOMES TRUE, there still is a level of hard reality upon which you bump your head when your IDEA about the world doesn't match what REALLY is. In other words, the map is not the territory. Some of us are interested in building accurate maps and working from them: this happens to be my job in the literal sense. Others seem more interested in what they can get people to do if they invent crises and other myths, to generate a smoke-screen to cover their own dirty secrets.

I really do believe that if we don't see the Constitutional process upheld and these scumbags held accountable, there WILL be a Second (third?) Revolution in this country, and there ain't a damn thing that could stop it. What any country lives or dies by is LEGITIMACY: the consent of the Governed. The dissatisfaction extends deeply into the military and security worlds as well. As the popular revolution begins, those in the military and security spheres sympathetic to the plight of their countrymen and disgusted with the mismanagement and deliberate looting of our country will stand up as well. I believe that despite the near lock on the media these NeoCons have, the reality of their control is paper-thin. The Schiavo incident made clear that the POLICE still know what the Constitution is and what it means: I suspect that within the military that there are also people who feel the same. The following essay from "The Unknown SIGINTer" (SIGINT stands for Signals Intelligence, or interception of electronic communications: the NSA's specialty, for those of you who live under a rock). I don't consider myself a Conservative any more than I consider myself a Liberal, but I agree with this guy 100%... except maybe the part about the Founding Fathers giving up in disgust if they had foreknowledge of our plight: I think they would have just fought harder, and I for one intend to honor their memory by keeping their spirit alive today.

From a Real Conservative

I am tired of all of the bull going around in this country concerning politics. I am a real conservative. I’m someone that wants my privacy protected at all times. I want government out of my life as much as possible. I don’t want to give half my income for some scheming bureaucrat (Democrat or Republican) to line his pockets while pretending to be fixing things for me. I want the strongest military possible because I believe in the "speak softly but carry a big stick policy".

But I don’t want that same military messing with my civil rights. The founding fathers didn’t want intrusive federal government. I personally believe that if they saw what we did with our freedom, they’d have left us a British Colony. I am tired of having billions of dollars flowing out of our country to prop up some asshole that is screwing his people just as badly as the current den of thieves that pretend to run this country while making their friends rich at my expense.

I hear all kinds of people crying about the 600 billion spent on Defense. Nobody’s crying about how the other 2.2 trillion dollars is spent every year. I know why the "The Roman Empire didn’t see it coming". The only difference between us and the Romans is that we haven’t elected a horse to the Senate yet, several dozen jackasses, but no horse. And that’s for both parties. I believe it was Ben Franklin that stated "people willing to give up freedom for secure, deserve neither".

I have strict set of rules I live by:

• Don’t go out of your way to piss me off, I only take so much crap.
• Keep your paws off what’s mine, which includes my money.
• Stop trying to fix everything in the world at my expense.
• Keep your nose out of the abortion issue. There’s 6 billion people on the planet already!

Keep messing around and I believe you’ll find out what happened around 1776. I find it amazing how we pretend to be a free nation, yet every year Congress pass another 10,000 new laws all for our benefit of course. What ever happened to the KISS principle? How to plan to enforce at this crap? This is exactly what is happening to all of what was a great nation. Bureaucrats have taken everything over and are now screwing it all in the ground World.Com, ENRON, GM, Ford, etc. are shining examples of this in action. And it is happening all throughout our government too.

An excellent example of this is the Intelligence Community. The 911 commission stated that there was too much bureaucracy. So what did we do? We add a whole new department with a whole bunch more bureaucrats, not more analysts. This is like being on the Titanic after it hit the iceberg and somebody deciding after spending several years rearranging the deck chairs that the only solution is to add another deck to the ship and install an uber-captain. Ya that’ll keep the ship from sinking.

And we all know now what happens if you play ball their way, you get promoted to your next level of incompetence. Way to go Hayden!

Signed "The Unknown SIGINTer"

  • Woo! Good article Tar!

I'm a "real" conservative too, putting me somewhere close to the middle on today's extremely polarized scale. However, this makes me a foaming liberal to plenty of folks!

  • Note that a lot of laws are passed to attach special interest pork. McCain is all pissed about it, and is raising hell. GOOD! :)

  • Now's the time to say something. Now's the time to "get up, stand up..." If there was ever a time to recognize that the little ball of horror that's been slowly growing within since 9/11 is a WARNING, and as such, the signal to get up and demand accountability from these scum.

Cops and military personnel, doctors, fuck, even ACCOUNTANTS are held accountable for their mistakes and their intentional misdeeds. Our corporate and political leaders are given a golden parachute and hustled out the back door to be replaced by some other asshole, while the media glosses over what hasn't yet made it to the very top of the turdheap. What the fuck is wrong with this picture? It's the corporatistas and the Gubmint boys that are GIVING THE ORDERS to the cops, soldiers, doctors, and accountants in the first place!

Supposedly this "favoritism in disgrace", this hand-slapping when the Guillotine is deserved (in some cases), is designed to prevent "the company" or "the Country" suffering embarassment. Well, I hate to say it, but shame is an EMOTION, and EMOTIONS ARE THINGS EXPERIENCED BY LIVING THINGS. Does my Jeep get morose when I don't drive it for a couple of days? What exactly is a company? Does Mickey Mouse have to go to the shrink because Eisner got run out of the company? Of course not!

I don't PAY a burglar AFTER the job's been done on my house and the cops have caught him (but my stuff of course is gone). If I had my way, I'd make him work it off: put him to use. Maybe kick him in the nuts if I was really pissed.

I'm a big believer that our political, economic, and public regulatory worlds could use a HELL of a lot of sunlight, followed by a flood of people that actually give a damn about our country and the citizens residing in it. One hopes that Hurricane Fitzgerald can rip the roof off the Terrordome before we all drown in the bullshit spewing from these assholes.

My intuition says that the root of this crisis is IDENTITY. I doubt that the scum currently running the show see Americans as anything else than useful... IE, they see themselves as above "ordinary" Americans. Perhaps they identify with an international elite rather than an American one, and are serving an agenda that doesn't hold American best interests as a central goal (rather, I believe we've been deemed as expendable).

Ask yourself: who benefits if the American dollar collapses? Who benefits if our country, China, Russia, Israel, India and Pakistan let fly with the nukes? The answer's simple: whoever's left!

A lot of people talk about how they're ashamed to be American these days. I'm not: I see it the opposite way. I'm ashamed that these scumbags dare call themselves Americans. I burn with a fierce pride within because I understand the values our country was founded on, because we had the guts to kick those dirty Brits out before they could enslave us all.

I know for a fact that I am not alone in this pride: as it gets darker and darker, it becomes easier to see the torches held high in the hearts of True Americans everywhere. It's this righteous fire that the NeoCons fear... they know that they cannot stand the heat, that they'll shrivel when exposed by the light.

"It's not in the paper, it's on the wall..." All that we're waiting for is a signal, confimation of our fears that the current system is lost beyond recovery. For everyone's sake I hope that the current batch of thieves steps down quietly or is hauled out kicking and screaming in the Constitutional fashion before then. If not, it's going to get ugly, and we're going to waste at least a decade putting our country back together afterwards. The Chinese would celebrate like the Palestinians did after 9/11.

I for one would like to "have a party" of an entirely different sort: a celebration of Mankind's resolve to be decent to each other and make a better world (and maybe work towards getting out of the cradle of civilizations). We've had over three hundred years to play with our current system: I'm sure we can make a better one. Humanity has been in the business of refining various artifacts for over half a million years. Money and Law are the most flexible of our artificial constructs: I firmly believe that we can structure these things to take into account basic human needs for respect, dignity, security and fairness. We just need to work towards common goals. We are all human, right? RIGHT???

  • Hello Tar,

I've been reading around the gnostic sites, , and then I read your thread on the Palm Tree Garden. I am with you on the whole bullshit factor of people talking about a lot of useless things on these sites.

I posted the below on your thread on Palm Tree, but I thought I would also send it to you in case you didn't read that thread much. Here's my point: you seem to want to cut the bullshit, and that's great, but I am looking to put my head together with someone or a few others, and really figure out how to connect into that infinite light and wisdom, which will show us all things and answer all questions. I don't want or care about talking about it; I want to find some other people who are serious about wanting to move on, if you know what I mean, so I thought I would give it a shot and reach out to you, since you seem to be okay.

    Peace

P.S. I'm not a nutcase. I have a job, etc., however, I do know one thing. The Gospel of Thomas and the NHL kicked something off in me that I want to follow through on, and two or more heads are better than one.

P.S.S. I have no interest in debating anything with you, and I don't want to challenge you on anything you've said.

    Here is the post:

I think TarNutz is stuck, and seems to be a little scared (of the world and the universe we are living in). Now, I don't want to offend with that, but that's just what I think, and Tar, you seem to want to shoot straight, so I assume you can take some straight talk back.

I will agree with the the idea that a lot of talk about gnostic this and gnostic that doesn't really do any good, but in fact distracts us from the reality. So, right on, Tar, for recognizing that what we don't want or need is a lot of dithering about this or that in terms of the finer points of what other humans have said or done that is "gnostic," we want the real stuff! There really is a reality all around us that is the Empire, and I don't see anyone other than PKD in our time that has just gone ahead and said some real things, and helped by sharing his visions and thoughts, but man, his was a solitary vision, that he tried to share, but in the end what I think is that he showed us that it is possible, but he doesn't take you by the hand and take you to it, if you know what I mean.

Now, I will say this: I am stuck and scared just like TarNutz. My problem is less of the question of what do we do to fight the empire, than the question of whether it is actually right to fight it, since I am afraid I will get stuck in the Empire. I do not see anything in the NHL that ever suggests that we would engage the Empire on its terms, meaning enter into some economic plan that we think would be anti-Empire, or would be more fair, etc. I'm not afraid of anything in it, I am afraid that I won't stay on the path to that holy light.

I think the unfairness is sewn right into reality. So, if we stop Bush, and change the economics, then next (maybe many nexts later), we would have to address this confounding system of the way nature operates: The plants are there to provide food for the plant-eaters, who eat plants for the purpose of supplying meat to the meat-eaters, and the meat-eaters live to eat the plant-eaters. The whole thing is just absurd and useless with no point. Each living thing in the animal and plant world seems to live only so that they can eat and be eaten and perpetuate this cycle. What joy or beauty is there to that cycle in a fundamental sense? And, does this whole system just live so that humans can live here, in this violent and agressive reality?

Man eats man just like the lion eats the wildebeast, and somehow, we are here to change all of that I think. It's kind of like we are the clean-up crew, and are playing a part in the creation that is now taking place, where this shadow world will be eliminated and forgotten. Maybe we are Sophia's clean-up crew and are just cleaning up her sorrow, which is this world. This is something I don't know the answer to, and what I think Tar is trying to cut through the bullshit and say: what the hell are we really supposed to be doing about all of this nonsense? I don't know, but I do know that if it doesn't get me closer to that spirit and that holy gnosis, I don't want to do it.

In the end, it seems like this is all we can do until we can do something else, just keep working on it. And, it seems like a lot was accomplished by Jesus and his followers just by his talking and their trying to understand. There was a lot of talk and a few miracles, and it turned out to be something we know was very powerful, and they really went to other much better worlds. So, let's just keep talking until we can start to do miracles, and then let's do miracles that will wake people up. Does that make any sense?

So, in closing I will say this: I am always scanning the gnostic sites for some really cool stuff that has to do with nothing else than what people think or experience of reality, not how they interpret this or that. I am not anti-intellectual, in fact I went all the way through the educational system and got a PhD from one of the "finest" institutes in the USA, and I can read and understand all of the interpretations, blah blah. What I am finding is that I never get satisfied, only rarely, like when I found some of PKDs writings, but then it only lasts for a little while. Why? I want to experience and know like PKD, and even more! I don't want to read about someone else's experiences.

I end up just wanting to take some time, like in bed before going to sleep, just to let myself wander and dream and imagine what the whole thing is all about, and try to focus my energies on getting closer to that spirit. I am mainly concerned with how I can get to a point where the spirit will come to me like it did to PKD or even more and show me some stuff that will keep me fed with the need I have. I don't want or really care about a damned thing other than seeing that spirit that I know is there, because it will show me all things, and make all things clear.

I kind of think, wow, wouldn't it be really cool if all of the shit actually did start to hit the fan in 2006, so that we could get a little breathing room from everyone being under the really crude illusions, like people not knowing that Bush is actually not a holy Born-again. Just let me nearer to that thing that was behind the NHL and PKD, be it the holy spirit, Jesus, or whatever you want to call it, because nothing else like Iran or Bush are worth worrying about. And, I don't care about gnosticism, or interpretations or anything, except if it can get me nearer to that holy light.

I REALLY WANT TO CONNECT TO THE REALLY GOOD STUFF AND RIGHT NOW, so Tar, are you game? Let's go for it and try to get close to that holy light. Any ideas? I couldn't care less about messing around with Bush and Iran, etc., and I really don't care if the whole system starts to go under and we can't find food. At least it would be a change from the boring, slow-paced events we read about day in and day out, and it is very likely we would be getting closer to the good stuff. We all know that the whole global economic system is a load of shit, and I have finally realized that nature itself is the same load of shit, so I know with my mind this world is a carcass, and I don't really care about it anymore.

So, practically speaking, let's put our heads together and come up with some ideas that will get us to that holy light. The best so far to me has been reading the Gospel of Thomas, but not by trying to sit there and interpret it. Just reading it and letting the feeling flow, then using my imagination to visualize the speaker of those sayings, and what he is trying to tell me, and imagining him saying other things, and showing me things, etc.

Come on Tar, give me some ideas man, show me some of your light! Let's get our shit together like that first, and then we'll know what we should do about the nonsense!

  • OK. You want some concrete shit. I definitely appreciate the straight talk: I appreciate more that you took things in the context that was meant.

I dunno about finding the "Inner Light". If I could make you a map, I would. However, it seems that everyone's direct experience is tailored to how they're set to recieve it. I personally believe from the evidence presented from science that our universe is indeed holographic: this means that all the information present is present at all times and in all spaces. I believe that information is accessible to the correctly trained mind: there are techniques useful in unlocking said information. Try Hemi-Sync and CRV for clairvoyance: I'm certain that a clever mind could use the tools gained in that and perhaps something like NLP to be able to access that information freely... or perhaps go completely raving insane. Perhaps both. The question is: will you gamble your sanity trying to access information you might not have been designed to handle? I'd recommend a use of the NLP fast-phobia cure to un-fuck your amygdala so you don't go PTSD.

As to taking on the Empire, well shit. I've heard the cardinal sin of Empire is to horn in on someone else's business or fief. Personally, I don't give a rat's ass: this is precisely how every Empire that was worth a shit was established. My point is that if we're going to have an Empire, it should be the baddest-ass shit-kicking Empire that ever existed, and the best way to do that is to found an Empire that's morally superior (and demonstratably so) to its neighbors. This promotes a brain-drain; if said Empire were also economically equitable, it would force its neighbors to adopt similar standards. Memetic infection, dude: read "The Tipping Point", "Barbarians to Bureaucrats" and Howard Bloom's dynamic duo "Lucifer Principle" and "Global Brain". If that's not enough to set your mind on fire, I don't know what will.

As to breaking the Empire, I don't want to do that. Economically I just believe in re-ordering the food chain slightly. Some days the bear eats you; today's the day we need to step up and eat the bear. I believe in screwing the banks and perhaps putting the insurance companies on notice: I believe in adequately funding our Federal agencies and giving them liscence to operate. Make people respect the rule of law; get business to operate on a legit standard so people could trust it. If the banks weren't screwing everyone out of vast sums of interest due to the nature of money itself, the companies could afford to do business far more cheaply than they do: there would be a cascade of falling prices as each industry's subordinate industries found ways to capitalize on the free economy. Environmental standards would be easy to meet; we'd get clear skies because the economic benefit of public compliance would outweigh the costs to production, and it would be seen as a sign of good faith to our neighbors that we weren't trying to gouge them TOO badly on prices.

Even better, even the banks we have don't get screwed... at least, any more than they ought to. Imagine that the money is like a river. The original source was the Government; however, we've liscenced it out to the bankers who own the Fed (it's not really Federal: surprise!). They've already diverted enough of the river for their own purposes that it's like they've created a deep lake. I'm not proposing that we cut that lake off, merely that we re-route the source so that it comes from where it originally did, that it should fully refresh the State canals and irrigate our nation. The bankers are free to loan from what they HAVE at whatever interest rates they like, so long as they're private. They will no longer get to create currency out of nothing; that power will be reserved to the Federal Government alone. Our vast army (which will of course be necessary to defend us from our bitter rivals at first) will be easily funded from this creation of wealth. Lincoln did it, so can we.

As to the whole eat-shit-die, well, that's a part of being a life-form, at least here anyway, and presumably elsewhere. You wanna "escape the meat" Joeboy? Neuromancer this ain't... at least not yet. You find a way to port yourself into a robot, I'll look you up... and take you to a strip club so you'll know what you're missing. Dude, it's the MEANING you find between being born and being food for some other lifeform that makes it worth it. Who cares what the span is: if you experienced every moment twice as long (because of fast neurons, say) and lived half as long time-wise, would it make any difference?

Really: do you find the whole concept of being part of the food chain to be immoral? Well, maybe it's your MORALS and not the food chain that's out of whack! Food is composed of what used to be alive. We will one day be food for bacteria if nothing else. I personally love meat; however, I'm not so sure it's such a good idea to eat as much of it as we Americans have become accustomed to: I believe that cooking is a lost art in many ways. I agree that meat-eating is inefficient from an energy-standpoint: it should be far cheaper to get rice and baked snacks, cheese, etc than it is to get meat... but we're insulated from that cost by the subsidized industry. Doesn't stop burgers from tasting good tho.

I dunno about miracles. I think they're a thing that happens as a result of doing what you have to do; they shouldn't be attempted by any means, merely recognized. It's kind of like the Army not wanting Heroes: heroism is born of people doing what they've got to do, usually after something completely fucks up. Miracles in the ordinary sense require people to be in a position where they need one. The real miracle is being prepared to deal with whatever happens and to be the right person for that time and place. This is what is known as "Being The Man". Super duper bonus brownie points for being able to carry this off for long stretches; even more for being able to handle non-specialties adequately enough to get by when experts aren't available. But best is the one who can recognize the extent of their talents and those of others, knows where strengths are best used and helps others to work together as an unbeatable team. Don't wait for miracles. Build them.

  • Hi Tar,

    Thanks for the response. Quickly:

I have no idea what you are talking about with hemi-syncing the CRV to fuck up my amygdala, and I don't want to know what you are talking about. You must have got a hold of some pretty strong shit, huh? That's nice. I could hook you up with some stuff that you might like too (I live in Holland).

But, I can't agree with your empire-modification desire. The empire to me is without any set rules, it changes as it needs to, but the very type of any empire that can be set up in this universe and reality all turns out to be the same, and I think they all must be limiting our freedom to connect with the infinite light.

As for the vegan sort of thing and the eating other living things idea, that's not me. I enjoy a nice juicy steak (like from Ruth's Chris). That's not my point. Another way to put it is what can really be created in a universe where one of the fundamental laws is entropy? The animal eat animal principle is just another way to describe the fact that any system we could create (in terms of economic or empire) where our physical bodies live the life we live here, necessarily would devolve and result in a bad empire that would limit our personal spiritual freedom.

It's like the only transcendence or relief we can get is just to understand more about where we are and how it is in a context of another, more amenable reality for our souls and spirits.

Blah, blah, right? My major point was that human interaction, communication, and helping to learn more about this and other realities is all we can do, but that interaction actually should take place not in a literal, intellectual way, but through myth and experience.

So, let me tell you an experience I had -

I saw in a moment of half-dreaming half-sleeping, but still awake and conscious and also with self-awareness, and in a way that came to me in a flash without any conscious effort, the image of what was like two mirrors parallel (and understood to be infinite) to each other, each reflecting the same thing, but the mirror image of each other. I was looking down and between the two, and they were some distance away.

The images in the mirror were moving and abstract, and seemed mainly to be like black shadows, but I couldn't say they were without color either, and somehow seemed to represent all that was happening in the universe we can perceive with our senses. There was understood to be two sides to everything, each side reflected in each mirror.

Were these two sides good and evil? It wasn't that clear, it was more like a splitting of reality into two component parts. However, what they actually could have been reflecting was something in between the two, however there was nothing there. So, where was the mirror and where was the actual things being reflected? It was physically impossible for these to be mirrors reflecting each other or something in the middle, but that is what they were like, since these planes I understood to have no individual identity of their own - they weren't more than an infinitely thin slice, and a reflection. They were not too close together - there was definitely space in the middle.

It may be more accurate to say that it was like our physical reality split down the middle. It wasn't like there were two separate things there, but two reflections of the same thing(s).

The whole thing was in a black infinite space, but there was also just in the periphery of the vision the very present presence of Christ over to my left, and about between 9 and 10 o'clock if I were at the center of a clock, and it was like he was perceiving me and the thing at the same time, as if he were showing me something and also noticing my perception.

Now, almost in my understanding but not in the actual vision, he was in white and had a self-generating light, but not blindingly so, nor in a way that could be described as magnificent, since it was like he was totally in the periphery just out of sight. It was like I just felt the presence, but was not seeing him.

He was definitely not of the same substance or a part of the vision, either the mirrors, nor the blackness. It was just very clear that within him was a very different thing, not a reflection of anything, but just a wholeness and light in which there was no confusing vision (which the mirrors kind of were). The mirror thing was pretty spooky of itself, but since he was there just in the periphery, it wasn't. There was a deep void aspect to the mirrors in the blackness.

In some way, his presence transcended all of this, as if he was showing me a thought, and all of this, even though I understood it to represent all that we can perceive, it was just a single thought he was sharing with me. And the funny thing was, this whole vision was not perceived by me to be some flabbergasting exposure of some ultimate truth, but rather the opposite, like it was just kind of looking into a rather unimportant item because I was curious about it, and there was really nothing interesting to explore further there. If I would imagine going closer to these mirrors, it would have just been like falling off a cliff into complete confusion and blackness, but there was no feeling that I wanted to go there or even could go there closer to the mirrors.

So, am I crazy? Sure, probably, but nobody knows it (yet). Can you understand sufficiently what the vision was, or does it just sound confusing? To me, I understood exactly what it was and what it meant to me on a non-verbal level, and it is still clear (this just happened a week or so ago).

I am not an occultist, not a "searcher," not into looking for the ultimate high, and no-one would consider me flaky. I have a PhD from MIT for goodness' sake. The way I got here was actually reading the Harper's magazine of a few months ago, where there was a pretty good article on the Gospel of Thomas. It was very interesting how the angle could be taken that the GoT could have been a closer kernel of truth about Christ than what became organized christianity, which I always suspected.

After reading the GoT, I recognized that there was some of the strongest truth I had ever experienced, just based on intuition. I did a lot spiritual searching about 20 years ago, and so I'm acquainted with the Eastern and Western traditions fairly well.

The point is, I wasn't looking for any of this, it just came one little step at a time after reading the GoT, and then other NHL texts at gnosis.org. The next thing I know, I am having this kind of semi-dream vision (and other things) that just seems so true and right to me that I can't let it go. And, mainly the realization that there is a whole lot more to be found than what we can perceive with our senses, and that yes, it is okay and actually not totally pessimistic to just believe my experience and intution that this whole universe, even including the laws of physics, just isn't what it is cracked up to be. This universe is actually kind of alternatingly boring and terrifying.

This is the sort of thing I want someone else to see and to hear about other's people's visions. I think that realm of vision and archetypal imagery is the only real way to communicate something that we can sometimes see, but can't grasp with our conscious minds.

Have you ever seen anything where you knew that it was in a language that you understood on the deepest level, but it was like your challenge would be forever to try to bring that vision into the realm of what can be talked about?

If so, let me hear it.

And, I agree with you on the keep working and the miracles will come. That is very perceptive and true I think.

All in all, I know the only thing that keeps me from going further and truly understanding all of this is my own desire to not cause difficulties for myself and turn out to be a PKD-type raving lunatic (from the empire's eyes). So, I think I am mostly hedging around and looking for a foothold that would keep me balanced in this world and still see the other one(s), which is probably impossible, and so we end up with PKD's last comment on his gnostic principles, which is, if you really understand the truth, you are in deep shit.

    Peace.

  • Anon - Sorry to take so long to reply: no thanks for your Dutch shit, though I appreciate the offer. I heard that your Gov't. doesn't like us foriegn tourists getting high anymore... besides which, drugs of any sort tend to interfere with Hemi-Sync (it's an audio technology) - Hemi-Sync is just a series of training wheels to getting what you're talking about with the spiritual experiences. After a while, you're supposed to be able to control trances, etc.

Your amygdala is the part of your brain that pre-processes information before submitting it to the rest of the brain for consumption: think of it like your computer's RAM and data transfer bus. If you overload your amygdala with information that it thinks your brain can't deal with, it "holds" the information and won't let it go, and then you get things like PTSD where you really are back in Vietnam or whatever and Charlie's out to get you. The occult version of this nightmare would be a lot scarier: trust me.

I can't tell you the direct interpretations of your visionary experience (Jung I ain't), though I've got a few rudimentary insights.

The mirrors were not separate: they merely appear that way to show you both sides of yourself (your Persona and Shadow is usually the beginning), which is a reflection of the All when viewed in totality. The mirror was the assumed "external" universe, while your subjective feeling is the internal universe. You can find the internal by looking around you, and you can find the external by lookin within. It's easiest to do this completely by doing it both ways at once. Realize that you are not separate from the All: you never were and never will be, though you experience this existence as detachment because you are unable to perceive your connection through the classical five senses without training. I personally can "pheel" my connection (it's a similar sensation to physical touch, but different enough to be a separate sense). I use this connectivity to sense the space-times around me and to connect empathically with people, usually to manage relations in real-time. I don't carry a wand or weigh myself down with jewelry: I'm beyond that shit.

The reason you could feel and know the Christ at your "nine o'clock" was that while the Divine is a part of you, most people haven't accepted this to the degree where you experience the Divine as oneself in one of these trances. As it is, He can show you stuff but you'll have a hard time understanding until you accept that He, you, and every other being on the Planet (and perhaps the Cosmos) are connected, because you are just different fragments of the same Divinity. Think of it like we're all the same thread, but we're woven into a carpet and experience ourselves as little loops, surrounded by other loops in a sea of loops... but in reality, it's all the same carpet.

The boring-terrifying thing is part of the nature of the Cosmos. I might be spoiling it a bit, but try to think of it as a joke: jokes are full of surprises. This might help with the horror and boredom: don't let it get you down!

"Have you ever seen anything where you knew that it was in a language that you understood on the deepest level, but it was like your challenge would be forever to try to bring that vision into the realm of what can be talked about?"

*LOL*! Well, if I told you everything, then there wouldn't be any chance of me finding out if it was true, would there? Probability streams are spoiled by observation. The depth of my revelation was for me alone at the time, and it concerned my destiny in the coming fracas. I could see clearly my various probable ends and roads to them: I may be killed for my vision, or I might find release in suicide. Or I may be able to find the middle road to relative safety and live out my final years on a porch somewhere.

All I know for dead certain is that I'm already wrapped up in it and I cannot abandon my path without opting for destruction anyway. I saw in an instant the archetypes embodied by my friends (or how my subconscious views them in those terms). I know from this experience and others that I've been Here in this reality (and others) many times throughout our History; that my soul is very old, and that my purpose here and now is redemption for transgressions in a previous existence. I have not always been as I am. Depending on how I handle this one, I think I will return to the Source, or perhaps disappate quietly into the Emptiness after my physical death. Perhaps both. I am blessed. I am cursed. I am Tar.

"If you really understand the truth, you are in deep shit." - Well, that's true whichever perspective you take: the more you know, the more you're responsible for, whether you're in control or not. Ask anybody who delves into Deep Politics. If you're with "Them", you're screwed... and if you're against Them, same deal!

The idea is to know lots, keep a low profile, and try not to take sides (or at least try to be flexible): you'll probably have a better chance of surviving undetected. But you won't accomplish anything. Remember what I was talking about with the joke? Sometimes the joke is on you.
